St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Berlin hosted seminarian Elizabeth Phillips as part of her training to become an ordained minister in the Episcopal Church. Elizabeth mentored under Rev. Carl Mosley and Rev. Deacon Dick Bunting from June to November of 2022. The congregation and vestry were instrumental in helping train and form Elizabeth for life in parish ministry.
Elizabeth was ordained as a Deacon on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Salisbury, MD. Rev. Carl Mosley, Rev. Dick Bunting along with many parishioners from St. Paul's were present for the celebration. Congratulations!

Rev. Carl Mosely hit the streets in Historic Downtown Berlin on Ash Wednesday, February 22, 2023 to share prayers and distribute ashes to many visitors as a way to enter into the Lenten Season. Thank you Church Mouse Thrift Store for hosting!
St. Paul's church family went out into the beautiful Historic Downtown Berlin to invite and welcome community members to prayer and receiving Ashes on Ash Wednesday. Ash Wednesday begins the Lenten Season in the Liturgical Year; a time of prayer, almsgiving and self-reflection. All are welcome!
St. Paul's hosted a Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner for the parish family and community. The gentlemen of the parish strapped on their aprons and went to work preparing a delicious dinner of pancakes and sides to mark the end of the Epiphany Season and the beginning of the Lenten Season.
Fun, fellowship and food!! A delicious meal together with family and friends.
St. Paul's joined forces with Preservation Maryland and The Campaign for Historic Trades on November 5th to provide a free workshop on how to restore and preserve historic cemetery stones.. The turnout was a huge success as parishioners and guests alike learned valuable information on the care of historic sites. Many of the tombstones and headstones in St. Paul's cemetery date back to the early 1800's when the church was built.
St. Paul's hosted a free Photography Session Workshop on November 8th. The workshop was held after dark to give photographers the opportunity to practice night-shooting, especially on a full-moon night. Also, the night session provided a perfect setting for photographing the new lighting on the church's bell-tower. A great turnout! Thank you, Dave, for putting this together.
On October 30th, St Paul held one service at 9:30 to bring together parishioners from both the early and late service. for worship, fellowship and brunch.
October 2, 2022 We celebrated the Feast of St. Francis with a special service to bless the pets in our community. We welcomed many adorable puppies as well as a goldfish and horses.
St. Paul's hosted a community-wide Shred-It Day. Many people in our community came to not only shred but also to tour St. Paul's historic church building.
St. Paul's hosted their 6th annual Advent Tea on Saturday, December 10, 2022. The event serves as an opportunity for friends and family to gather together in food, fun and fellowship to celebrate the Christmas season. The 2022 event was a great success!
